Storytelling and Success!

Most of us have probably been to an excessively BORING presentation, meeting, recital, webinar, or another event.

When we think of the most SUCCESSFUL people (adults and children) in education, business, and in personal relationships, we often recognize a common thread - they can generally tell an ENGAGING story and can PERSUADE others. Research tells us over and over that effective storytelling is an imperative to greater successes in the private and the public sectors and in education. It isn't enough to simply TELL a story - that story must be WELL-CRAFTED and MUST be ENGAGING in order to hold the audience's attention (even if that audience is one person).

Effective storytelling can be the difference between success and failure when working to get our message across.

Who can benefit from learning how to tell better and more engaging stories?

CEO's

CFO's

Students (K-12, college undergraduates, and graduate students)...interviewing for graduate school, for example, or for a scholarship!

Sales professionals...persuading the potential customer to make a purchase

Medical and Dental professionals...to better serve their patients and to gain compliance with a treatment plan)

Corporate communication directors... to get the attention of the internal or external stakeholders by delivering an engaging message

Educators (at all levels)...to better engage students in learning and to effectively interact with the student AND the parent(s)

Even individuals who are in romantic or nonromantic relationships!

Storytelling is how communication became effect BEFORE humans invented written languages!

Since 2000, I have developed and/or taught two important aspects of effective storytelling:

Storytelling in Organizations and Oral Interpretation. Now, I can teach you or someone you know what it took me years to learn, to improve, and to apply.

If you want to learn how to improve how you convey your message, deliver good or bad news, and to persuade others through the stories you tell every day, contact me to discuss options for learning this important skill as an individual or in a group setting.

(some individual sessions may be accomplished via Skype of Google Hangouts)
